What do you do to keep your members coming back? Sort of like dende's topic, but instead of asking how to get new members, I'm asking how to keep the members that have registered. What do you do?
I don't really do anything, which might be why it's not as active as it could be...

Getting people to come back to your site is not unlike getting patrons to return to a particular restaurant. So let's take a look at the sorta-Zagat's Guide to UBB's. - Cuisine: What kind of food do you like? People typically will try and frequent places that serve the type of food they like. Some patrons are willing to experiment and try new things, but if they don't like your food, they won't come.
- Service: How often do you go back to a place where the waiter is obnoxious or insulting. Whether it is the Maitre De or the waitstaff, if a customer doesn't feel welcomed, they won't bother coming back.
- Menu: A good restaurant has a great menu. This includes signature dishes, chef's specialties and something for everyone. Then just to keep things fresh, throw in a couple of daily specials. What you get is a menu that is tried and true, exciting but predictable, with something new to impress you.
- Atmosphere: You're checking out a new place you've never been to before, and there is absolutely nobody eating there...what are the odds you are going to go in? On the other hand, a restaurant that has a line out the door--has got to be a hopping place. These people are there for a reason, so the food must be good.
So you can see, if you want people to come back for more, you've got to offer them something better than the guy down the block. As the chef in charge it is up to you to identify what your customers want and deliver it. Always serve fresh content and make sure that your customer walks away feeling good, satiated and willing to come back for more. -Chez Tacks ------------------ b3 a l33t h4xx0r Join Team UBBDev Help Fight Cancer!
